What our agent actually checks at your door

It is a check against your own answers, not a fresh inspection. Here is the whole list.
Nothing at the door should be a surprise, so here is the entire list the rider works through, in order.
1. The device is the device
The model and the storage variant, against what you selected. On a phone this is Settings → About; on a laptop, the About screen. This is the check that catches honest mistakes more than anything else — a 128 GB quoted as a 256 GB, or a Pro selected instead of the base model.
2. The screen
A plain screen at full brightness, looked at for spots, lines and dead pixels, and then the glass itself for cracks and deep scratches. The two are separate questions, as they were online.
3. The body
Corners, frame, back panel. Scratches, dents, cracks.
4. What works
Cameras front and back, loudspeaker and earpiece, microphone, the charging port with a cable, buttons, the fingerprint reader or Face ID, Wi-Fi and mobile network. Each is a question you already answered.
5. The battery
On an iPhone, the Battery Health figure on screen, against the one you gave. On Android, whether the phone behaves as described — and a look at whether the back sits flat.
6. The accessories
The bill, the box and the charger, if you said you had them.
Then one of two things happens
Everything matches. The number you accepted online is the number you are paid. The device is factory reset in front of you, and paid for before the rider leaves — in cash, or by bank transfer with the reference on screen while they are still standing there.
Something does not match. They show you exactly what they found and exactly what it changes, before anything is agreed. You decide. If you would rather keep the device at that point, you keep it, and the pickup has cost you nothing.
How to make it a two-minute visit
Check the phone yourself first, the same way. Every answer taken from the device rather than from memory is one thing that cannot go differently at your door.

Questions people ask
- How long does the check take?
- A few minutes for a phone that matches its description. It is a check against your answers, not an open-ended inspection.
- Does the rider open the phone up?
- No. Everything on the list is visible or testable from the outside — the screen, the body, the cameras, the speakers, the port, the battery figure on screen.
- What if I disagree with what they find?
- They show you what they found and what it changes before anything is agreed. If you would rather keep the device, you keep it, and the pickup costs nothing.
