What happens at a TurnCash pickup, step by step

The five minutes at your door, in order — so nothing about the handover is a surprise.

Every unpleasant surprise in selling a used device happens at handover, so that is the part we designed first. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you book, so that nothing at the door is new.

Booking

You have a price. You pick a two-hour slot on a day that suits you, at your address — we collect from 215 areas today, across the parts of Dubai we cover. Booking needs your phone number and a one-time code, nothing more; there is no password to remember.

The rider arrives

In the slot you chose. They have the answers you gave online and they check the device against them: the screen, the body, that things work, what is in the box. It is a check, not an inspection — it takes a few minutes.

If everything matches

The number you accepted online is the number you are paid. That is the whole point of answering the questions before pickup rather than after: the price was settled before anyone came to your door.

If something does not match

The rider shows you exactly what they found and exactly what it changes, before anything is agreed. You decide. If you would rather keep the device at that point, you keep it, and the pickup has cost you nothing.

The reset

Your device is factory reset in front of you, as part of the handover — not later, not at a warehouse. Nothing of yours travels with it. This is why we ask you not to reset it yourself beforehand: the reset happens at the door either way, and a device that is still set up is quicker to check.

Payment

Before the rider leaves — in cash, or by bank transfer to your IBAN with the payment reference on screen while they are still standing there. Then they go, and you are done.

What to have ready

Back up, sign out of your Apple, Google or Samsung account, take the SIM and memory card out, and put the bill, charger and box next to the device if you have them. The ten-minute checklist walks through each.
